In reality you should be looking over the top of the windshield anyways. Trust me, that thing won't stay clean for long, unless u plan on scrubbing it every time u stop for a break. I never liked the look of a screen on the Dynas... just my two cents. As far as the helmet thing goes, I hardly wear mine, but if I do it's full face all the way. Guys who wear anything else have never hit the pavement going 50 on their CHIN. Say what u want, if you really want the facts, look up some statistics. The first contact point in the majority of motorcycle accidents is the head. Why chance only covering a small percentage of ur melon? Besides, the whole "I can't see with one of those damn things on" or "I can't hear anything" arguements are bs. A) you can see everything u need to see out of a full face helmet, otherwise they'd be illegal. B) You're on a Harley. I don't know about you guys, but on my scooter I can't hear a damn thing anyways. C) since when do we give a rats *** about riding by someone we don't know, nor are likely to ever see again, and hear them say "wow that guy looks like a fagbag in that helmet." WAIT! You can't hear them say it! Maybe if you took that stupid full face off you could hear people making fun of you better. Give me a break. If someone thinks my $300 head insurance looks stupid that's their problem. It's all preference. Do what u want.
Windshields don't look very good on any bike but I like the Memphis Shades sport shields on the Dynas better than any others.
I have a fullface helmet also but it doesn't do crap for stopping the wind that pushes against your chest on long highway runs so it's not even a consideration. And yes I have hit the pavement before and messed up a full face helmet's shield and chin bar when I was younger but still I prefer the skid lid. Call me dumb, my wife does.

+1. Rode 300 miles today, most of it into or being sideswiped by a nasty gusting wind. Wore a full face helmet all the way and didn't give a crap what anyone thinks.
BUT, 300 miles later I did kinda yearn for a windshield anyway.
Damn, a guy offers his opinion when asked for it and suddenly he's a ****.
I ride with a full face helmet because of what I've seen at work. My personal choice, I'm not forcing it on anyone. It's not a cheap helmet, but neither is what I cram in it. I have the HD Compact Quick Detach windshield for my bike. I've tweaked the adjustment as much as I can, and I still get a lot of buffeting. I got the same buffeting when I tried riding with a half helmet, and riding without a helmet is not a legal option here. With the backrest on my Corbin providing support, I find it more comfortable to ride without the windshield except for extreme cold. Again, my personal opinion.
For what it matters, I'm 6 feet tall and ride with forward controls....
