I am looking at seats for 2-up riding, which my wife and I do a lot of. Just looking for opinions.
My wife and I are what mosty would call "Skinny Asses", just FYI. We did roundtrip from Colorado Springs to San Diego on an 2005 Sportster 883xlc with a Sundowner seat. We did just fine, no problems at all.
So with that said, I REALLY hate the look of the Sundowner on the Bob. And my wife decided she does no like how wide it is. She says her legs hit it wrong and it cuts off circulation. She has shorter legs, which is the reason why.
Anyway, I am just looking into opinions on middle of the road seats for the Bob. For things from rallies to day trips to long trips. I will only be getting one 2-up seat..
hey DSnoopy, I have a stock (2006) solo saddle with and already attached passenger pillion I am looking to get rid of. My wife loved it. Shoot me an email if interested at tjandjean_comptois@yahoo.com
I would be more than willing to let the pillion go by itself too. They're off of a 2006 Street Bob (see my profile pictures or I can email at the before mentioned email address.
Mustang wide solo and the removable passenger pillion. very good for long trips and you can remove the pillion is the time it takes to unscrew one bolt.
I got a C&C sport tourer last year... was the most uncomfortable seat for my short leg wife. The seat gave her problems like that sundowner gave your wife. We have a Mustang tripper solo and pillion. The pillion is very firm and she has not gotten used to it although she probably has been on the bike a total of 1 hour since we got the seat. I really like the lepera daytona for a nice 2 up seat looks wise. Cannot comment on comfort though. Also the mustang squareback looks pretty sweet for comfortable 2 up riding as well.
All the two up seats I tried all wanted to scratch my fender, one reason I went with the H-D rack and pillion. That aside, do you want to sell your solo seat?

I may. I rarely ride without my wife. And it would just be a waste of time to constantly remove the sissy bar and change out the seat over and over again. I'll make a post with a pic if I decide to sell in the next week or so.
