Been tossing around this paint idea that I can't get out of my head. Gloss black base with solid white flames pin striped in red. I would keep my horn and a/c cover pin striped and then have my console and the top of my headlight pinstriped. I would also lose the tail light. What do you guys think. Here is a pic of a bike that I got the idea from, except that one uses flat paint.
that paint scheme is great. have you thought about a white pinstripe outline of flames outlined by red keeping the inside of the flame the color of the tanks. with a thick white line i think it would bring new flavor to and old design
Them white flames look pretty cool & I think they would on yours also. I think your scoot looks tuff as hell the way it is! I also understand having somethin stuck in your head beatin on your skull until ya do somethin about it!
I like it, but I'm not sure if going with a gloss paint is the way to go. I think it looks awesome with the flat paint and would stay within the style of your bike. Just my .02
10000% do this, man you can get a stencil kit and lay out the flames on your tins, then use hot rod flatx, shoot the flat white satin... like Jake says, gloss would be to much of a contrast in color, texture, and gloss... but a flat white with red pinstripe... would looks sick! and cheap to do as compared to some custom paint jobs
Can't say I'm digging the white flames much.
I like your ride the way it is, but I also understand when the desire for change gets embedded in your brain.
