Default The striped jug effect

I first noticed this when I was new to the Forum, and saw the effect in one of the member's signature pic...I even PM'd him to ask how he did it! Of course, he didn't know what I was talking about, so I figger'd it had to be related to how a digital image's pixels are rendered on a pixel'd computer monitor. Anyway, I like the look of the "jug striping", and plan to do it to my engine. Looks EZ to apply, and prob'ly EZ to remove/change, also.

What do you think?

Yes I just changed my screen saver on my desktop and it has that effect from the primary side of the bike.

Default Striped Jugg Effect

It's called moray effect in photographic terms. It's when the lens, film, or camera cannot provide enough detail because of lack of resolution. You can see it on tv once in a while when someone wears an outfit that has too much detail and the cameras do a barred color pattern.

Come to think of it Chris, your bike would look good with curved vertical fins.
Though it might be a little tough getting the air to flow over them.

Why dont you try it and let us know how it turns out.......
