The striped jug effect
I first noticed this when I was new to the Forum, and saw the effect in one of the member's signature pic...I even PM'd him to ask how he did it! Of course, he didn't know what I was talking about, so I figger'd it had to be related to how a digital image's pixels are rendered on a pixel'd computer monitor. Anyway, I like the look of the "jug striping", and plan to do it to my engine. Looks EZ to apply, and prob'ly EZ to remove/change, also.

It's called moray effect in photographic terms. It's when the lens, film, or camera cannot provide enough detail because of lack of resolution. You can see it on tv once in a while when someone wears an outfit that has too much detail and the cameras do a barred color pattern.
