Yeah, the Diamond-Heads are nice but I can't justify the tear-down or the price. The "optical delusion" appearance caused by the digital photo rendering has a cool look to it, and would be easy to imitate for real. A little light sanding would be all it would take to erase the look if you changed your mind. Think I'll try it; will post pix when done.

I first noticed this when I was new to the Forum, and saw the effect in one of the member's signature pic...I even PM'd him to ask how he did it! Of course, he didn't know what I was talking about, so I figger'd it had to be related to how a digital image's pixels are rendered on a pixel'd computer monitor. Anyway, I like the look of the "jug striping", and plan to do it to my engine. Looks EZ to apply, and prob'ly EZ to remove/change, also.
