Varies greatly. I've seen quotes upwards of $800 total to do this at a dealer and some for way less to do the same thing. There are threads you can search for here to do it yourself and depending on what options you choose, do it much easier and cheaper.
Also, Kuryakyn makes a kit, I have it on my bike, that is definitely self-installable by anyone that can use a socket wrench and screwdriver and you can buy it only for $299 shipped.

I put a set on my '08 FXDC about six month's ago that came from Harley. Used the earlier model kit 49080-03A which does not require removing the primary covers. Took about 30 min. to install and works great. I think the kit cost around $350.00 and the new shift rod was around $25.00. Hope this helps
