Default Need some quick advice on risers...

I picked up a set of these risers for my FXDC. HD part # 56290-05. I'm going to try to put them on tomorrow. Since these are considerably "fatter" than the stock risers, do I need a different cup washer for the risers to sit in, or do these not use a washer, or do I just re-use the cup washers that are on there now? I haven't actually measured, but it looks to me like the base of these risers would completely cover the existing cup washer, whereas the stock risers are narrow enough to actually fit down into the cup area of the washer.

Has anyone used these risers on your Dyna, and if so, what did you do about the cup washers?

First thing: BEFORE you loosen ANYTHING, place a folded, soft blanket over your tank and secure it so it can't slide off. The handlebars are surprisingly heavy and will probably try to rotate down onto the tank as you loosen the cap screws.

Make sure the bolts holding the existing risers are the correct size and thread for the new risers (if the new ones didn't come with bolts for the triple tree)

I am not an authority, but I would think the cup size is standard.

During final assembly, be sure to have the risers a bit loose until you have the 4 screws for the cap started properly, DON'T CROSS-THREAD THEM.

keep the cup washers. You do not want the risers flush to the tree. Heavy vibration that way.
