Ordered some black 412's yesterday for my bike. Just realized today that they don't come with black "caps" that go over/around the top shock bolt and don't want to have black shocks with chrome tops. Is it possible to run the shocks without those "caps"? If not, can they easily be painted or will I need to have them powder coated? What's everyone else done? Thanks.
Those "caps" are just decorative covers, you can go without them. If you paint them and aren't happy with the results you can ALWAYS get them powder coated later.
