Default Security System

Well I searched but did not get the info or answer I'm looking for.
I am ordering my 09 Street Bob through military sales while I'm deployed. So I don't have it yet. My question is what is everyones opinion on the smart security system?

It is $315 extra, is it worth it? My thoughts are its something else that could go wrong. Now I live in a huge apartment complex too. So having it might be good. I know I could go aftermarket...

Anyway what are everyone's thoughts?

SCREAMS at you now... you know me man, i can not leave anything stock!

I hear you man,
but the dealership doesn't get anything for me buying this bike. Just like a 379 process fee (to build it?). I guess if I ordered it without and it came with I could try that.

As it comes with the bike, the security system only flashes the turn signals and disables the ignition - no sound.

I would add the siren and the pager. The pager is good for when the bike is out of sight, like in a hotel overnight.

I like that the system auto arms when you turn off the ignition and disarms when the key fob is close enough.

Thanks for the replys guys.

No ones had any electrical problems? My buddy has a Nightster and his battery kept dying, and had some other starting issues. He thinks it was the security system, then again thats just him saying that.

As a side note to this, my wife and I do some road trips every year. We usually stay in decent hotels. Any one reccomend the security system? I usually just lock the wheel and leave it in gear.
