Default Bare bones VS Silhouette

What are the real differences between the two, and which do you prefer? They look pretty much the same to me, but it just seems like the Silhouette has a little more in the back region?

Also, where is the best place to buy Lepera stuff, and can I get gel in either?

Thanks guys. The buying list is almost done (for now)

I had a barebones with the gel..... About 30-45 minutes the ole Butt was a hurt'n. The seats look good but for any distance keep your stock seat!

Silhouette is the better option over the BB. It has a more rounder rear profile, more lip to the seat and a hair more padding. You can get them cheaper through www.discountcycleparts.com (thats where the one on my sporty came from) or some shops on ebay, but if you want the gel option, custom cover or stitching the only choice is buying direct by calling Christine Lepera but you will pay $$$ that way.

+1...the Silhouette seat has more of a lip at the rear to hold you in place better. I like it alot for city, short highway riding and as Joe stated, for nailing the throttle...my old *** gets sore after an hour and a half lol, but it's a keeper for sure.

Any issues with my short legs reaching forwards with it?

As stated above someone said the BB moves you back? Not good for me, I'm barely over 5'6...

Thanks guys!

I honestly didn't feel that the Bare Bones set me back any farther than the stock seat, in fact I feel like I am a little closer.
