I emailed them back asking why '04 FLH shocks would bottom out on an '07 FXD and got the following response:
"The leverage ratio on the chassis the angle the shock is mounted. The rate on the FL shock will be at STD 90/130 compared to that on a FXD at 270/300 std. that shock will mount but not have any quality of ride."
I'm really confused by it...the tech is right, according to their online spec chart Progressive's bagger shocks are half the spring rating of their same-model Dyna shocks.............but guys here have stuck HD bagger shocks on Dynas and done fine.
