RE: SEII with BCT Baffles Video Clip
What's everyone's experience with the BCT baffles so far? If I understand this correctly, I don't need another download since I got the HD download with the SEII's and SE A/C when I took delivery? Is this correct? I've been waiting for some black Bassani Pro Streets from a dealer for over a month. I'm ready to cancel the order and go with these if I don't need another download. I'm tired of waiting. Thanks.
"The slip-ons have a baffle in them. The baffle is held in the slip-on by a bolt through a hole in the slip-on and into a weld nut in the baffle. Remove the bolt and slide the baffle out of the slip-on(they can be stuck sometimes). You will see how the baffle is constructed which has an angle diverter in the middle of the baffle. Take a big screw driver and bend the diverter so it allows more exhaust through the baffle. Do both baffles the same. Reinstall the baffles. Depending how big of an opening you made(I opened mine about an additional 3/8" more), you will have more sound, and the mid-range will be more alive, and you won't feel any difference in the bottom rpm's. The "Harley" sound will be talking to you. I also had a DFO, so I could adjust for any popping on decel. The fun($$) never stops with a Harley.
Got my BCT baffles and just went for the first ride. Great sound and I noticed a little more low end. Rode out to the dealer and everyone agreed the baffles made a big difference in sound. I am happy with my choice.

Give them a fews day and they seem to get even better!
Sorry for a rookie question, but is re-jetting necessary?
I had the Stage 1 AC and download prior to changing to the BCTs. BCT claims that is you've already have the download that it should be fine. So far, my bike runs great, though I do have occasional backfires. I can deal with that and will never go back to original baffles. I plan to go SERT or PCIII in the future, which should correct everything.
Sounds like you have a carb system, if so, you may want to contact BCT first!
OK guys, I'm still considering picking up a pair. Those who've installed them and haven't chimed in yet, let's hear what you think. Is there a $130 difference in sound? Should I pull the trigger?
