I just ordered some deuce style slotted 6 inch risers for my 01 low rider. Is there anything i need to know before I start this ? I beleive they should fit due to they are not shaped like the real Deuce risers on the bottom, they don't have that bevel that I have hear from some that needed to be grinded off. This is why i went with these. I figured I would do this for now then when I get sick of them I will do the full blown chubby drag bar deal. I just like the look of these risers and think they will give the handlbars a thicker look from the forks up instead of the skinny stock risers. What torque on the risers and bushings ? Thanks for any help, these should be in by mid week. Also I would like to see if anyone has them on the bike and would not mind sharing a photo or two ? No matter what ride it's on ?

the only thing i would recommend is that you buy a set of the non-rubber bushings where the bolts go through the top tree (i think they're neoprene?). night and day difference for handlebar play with anything other than the stock setup. the torque specs were hard to find in my service manual. i think they were in the critical fasteners table. i don't have it with me at the moment, but i'm sure someone else will chime in

Thanks, good to know. What type of bushings did you go with and where did you get then from ?
Now you got me scared, lol.. What am i up against ? Any tips to make my life a little easier ? People who do all these major mods and rebuilds must be saying, "What a puss get over it " LOL..
