My '96 FDX has the stock gray engine. Since changing the tins to vivid black and adding a lot of chrome the engine color just doesn't work. I know there are a lot of bikes here that have extensive powder coating, I'm wondering what's involved with having the engine powder coated black and roughly what it might cost.

 

To powder coat your engine would require an entire tear-down and rebuild. Can't powder coat an assembled engine. The cost will vary by location so I'd suggest checking around your area, not just for the powder coating charge but the mechanical labor as well.
