Default Powder coat pushrod tubes

With my upcoming engine build, I'll want to powder some engine parts.
One thing is having the push rod tubes and lifter blocks powdered wrinkle black.
My builder is not liking this as he says there's a possibility they will leak because of the O-rings not sealing due to the powder.

Any experience here?

No experience but I agree with your builder's comments; makes sense and would listen to him. If you want black pushrod covers, you can buy them. If I was the builder and you did not heed those comments, I would disclaim any responsibility for leaks or any other issues that might result from the powder coating.........

Or just mask the areas in question.

Agree-
Powder coat them but mask off areas that will have O ring contact. Why cause yourself problems...

I'm running the SE adjustable PR w/black tubes.... I think they are PC gloss black from SE but I may be wrong. Anyways they are not masked off & look damn good IMO.
