I'm getting all my parts together to put my new front end on I've got a pair of billet triple trees and the lower tree has the internal fork stop with the slot, my question is if I go with the internal fork lock how hard is it to replace the bearing cups or should I go with external stop

 

Internal for sure & ya, I have a tool to remove that pesky bottom race which sucks without it. They cost $86 + Shipping and use the universal bolt circle.
