Yeah I could see that being a problem. Probably the only way to get a smooth arc would mean leaving atleast the top license plate hole filled.

I've never done it for a fender, but I'd think that a chop saw would be the best bet to keep everything absolutely straight. Then you could use a jigsaw or cutoff wheel on the dremel to do any curves or styling on the edges. Heck, the chop saw would be the only way I'd want to go if I wanted any type of angled cut as well. Just a thought.

+1 on dremel cutting wheels dying fast. I burn through those things quick.
