Default Metzeler ME 880's ?

I am looking for new tires for my 2005 FXDX
Do most of you go with the ME 880's or is there another tire that Metzeler put out like the Lasertek that is better suited for 50%backroads and 50% highway?
My Dunlops hate raingrooves and expansion joints.

Patch- I have already decided when it comes time for me to change tires on my 05 FXDI I will be going to the Metzlers 880's. I have seen alot of posts on several boards over the last several years saying how much better they liked the 880's. I hate that my stock Dunlops pulls bad in raingrooves or ruts in the road. Some have said the 880 didn't last as long as the Dunlops where plenty of others have said that the tire life was about the same.

I put the ME880's on last year and i felt they were a major improvement over the Dunlops. They seem to be wearing just fine. The ride and straight line tracking is great. I have not tried other brands but i can't see how they could be better.

I put the ME880s on my Suzuki Volusia.

It had IRC tires stock, which honestly, feel alot like these Dunlops on my Street Bob...even though the Dunlops are supposedly a better tire.

The Metzlers felt great...I found myself speeding constantly just because the ride was more "positive" feeling.

I think you will love the Metzs on your bike. When i traded my bike in, I wish I could have gotten the tires switched over!

Go with the Metz. They get good and warm. Much better ride.
