I ended up using the 15 7/8" baffles with a 1 3/4" ID to 1 3/4" OD adaptor and it worked out perfect (stock length of 18 1/2"). Looks stock from the side, but not from behind and sounds like a Harley should. Thanks for the info and here is two close up pics.
Just did this mod on my '11 SB this weekend, looking forward to the morning commute. Took it out for a short ride right after to make sure everything was secure and all I have to say is WOW. I cut back on the fiber glass like OP suggested, only wrapping around once. I also cut it shorter so it wouldn't block gases trying to come up the diverter. Definitely a lot louder, and very deep. Sitting at idle the sound seems to come from everywhere because the frequency is so low. I used the screws for now so I can switch back to the anemic factory baffles easily if I have to go in for service.
If anyone is keeping the original baffles I suggest a liberal coat of a rust inhibiting oil. They had some rust on them when I pulled them, and after 24 hours in the garage the rust was significantly worse. Granted, I'm in Florida and it's July, but still. I'll try to get some video up soon of them running. I have yet to see a video of this mod that comes anywhere close to doing justice to the sound I got out of this. Thanks so much Gary7 for the instructions on this!
I know that this is an old topic, but I JUST did this mod on my new 2012 Dyna Wide Glide and they sound awesome.
I also tacked the adapter piece to the new baffle. I just need to get some grill paint and paint them up!
I am considering this mod, but I (like a previous poster) only have about 350 miles on my new Street Bob and am a little concerned with warranty issues. Why (if it would) would this void your warranty?
You would ask how in the world would a modded slip-on hurt a warranty.
the dealer would have to prove that the mod caused harm to the bike if you made a warranty claim.
I switched over to Rush slip-ons early.
I still have my new take-offs wrapped in plastic.
I could of saved some money and modded these but didn't see this mod till after I switched over.
For anyone interested, I have a set of cans that came off my 2011 Street Bob, already done. Only about 1,000 miles on 'em. Would take $50 shipped. Great way to keep your old ones, in case you wanted to go back for some reason. This mod sounds really good, I would dare to say that they sound better (deeper) than either of the 2 into 1 pipes I've had on.

I'm interested- couple of questions though. Did you use an adapter, if so , did you just slip fit it or tack weld it? Did you bend the diverter tang down? And did you use the fiber glass, S steel wool, or no packing? Would like to be able to pull the baffles to play around with different types of packing.

I used the adapter, but didn't tack weld it to the baffle. They are in there plenty tight. No packing, it pretty much destroyed that the first time I rode it. Didn't bend anything, so baffles are stock. The mufflers aren't perfect, as there are some scratches where the clamps where that held the heat shields. Not an issue, if you plan on putting heat shields on them. I don't have my old shields anymore, buddy of mine needed those. I will try and get them cleaned up, and snap some pics tonight.
I'll take them. Can't PM you, don't have Skype; why don't you send send me a PM with another contact option.
Just listed them in the Classifieds, with some other stuff I had. Check out the pics, and then let me know what you think. If you still want them, my email is refuzeandrezizt at gmail dot com.
