Sorry found this pic that mudd had posted after making this thread.. Reposting the pic encase anyone else needed it :P.. So i would have to hook one wired to the orange/white wire and the same to the red/yellow wire.. Then with the other wire coming from the light hook it to the blue (tail) wire which is the run wire correct??

Rear break light has extra wires because of the white light on top that is your license plate light. and looks like in the schematic that you have a wire for you front brake lever and your rear. You can make your light work with out looking into it very far my guess is one wire to blk for ground and the other two wires would go to the other wire in a sense you would hook the the rear and front brake wire together and hook them to one wire on the light then ground to the other. Only way this would be different is if the two wires on the like are intenended to be hooked to the front brake wire and the rear brake wire and the light gets ground thru the frame. Not sure on that. But yes one way or another with some wire and solder you can make it work would be my guess

It depends on the wire colors of the new light. It looks like one is black and one is red. Which means that it has a single filament bulb in it. The orange/white and red/yellow wires are unused. The new red wire connects to the bike's blue wire ( running tail light) and the new black wire to the bike's black wire ( ground). You will not have any brake light on the rear. Even if you were to hook the red/yellow or the orange/white it wouldn't make the light any brighter. If the new light has a double filament bulb then it has to ground itself through the mounting bolts, but it doesn't appear to be.
