Think of it as $200.00+ extended warranty policy, stock compensator is wimpy for a stock motor, let alone one that is beyond stock.Why do we have to keep paying for "upgrades" when this should have been the stock unit, I know this is stock on the Rocker, so someone somewhere at HD knew this was a weak link in the primary, I'm getting off thread, and why don't the offer it in a 32 tooth, to solve the overgearing problem in the '07's. In a perfect world....

Crap, I have been getting that starter 'bang' since day one! Although I have not noticed the tranny clatter.... but pretty much every cold start... *bang!

All future mods now redirected..... or at least putting this SE comp at the top of the list.

Speaking further on drivetrain issues, anybody know if the '08 and up Dyna's have the IDS as standard equipment like the baggers?

No not on Dyna's they are standard equipment on 08 and up touring models and retrofitted to the 07 touring models.

Installed one word can describe the feeling of this on my bike. "Wow" I describe it as the engine and tranny working as one unit. The start up effortless, off the line better than you know what. I will post pics of both units when I upload them. You will be shocked at the size of the stock unit vs. the SE model.
