Default Headlight dilema

What have you folks done to improve the lighting on your pre-halogen lit bikes? I thought the lighting was a little weak. Then I bought the new RK, now I know what head lights should be. The 99 WG is definately weak! This is my 99 FXDWG and I think a new bullet shaped light would look great...

Thinking Kuryakyn - with H4 bulb $187

Or Harley - Which I really think would look super on the bike.. $329

But if I'm going to drop $329, thinking I may as well go $600 with Kuryakyn Xe5R 5

OR... Keep what I have and just change to new Kuryakyn lense (#2350) & H4 -$122

AND THEN, theres the import look-a-likes on ebay for under $100............
What say you?

I've used the Autopal headlights that are sold on ebay. They are inexpensive, but the quality is excellent. I recommend getting it with the std clear bulb, however, not the blue one in this photo:

Got here already... Kudos to Eastern!
That was the good news, it isn't even close to fitting my 99 FXDWG... Are you guys all using the 5.75 x 9" model?? I'm looking at the adapter they also sell, but I don't think the 1" vertical offset is enough......

Glad you received your light. Eastern has always been good at shipping quickly in my experience.

There are a few different mount offsets to choose from. I didn't necessarily need one for my headlight, but I preferred the light to sit up and a little further out than it would have with out the offset mount.

I don't know how much different your front end is than mine, but that mount would provide ample room on my front end.

I'll look around on line and if I find links to any other types of mounts I'll post back here.

Over this winter, I had the HD Billet 5 3/4" headlight installed with a PIAA Xtreme White bulb. I had the PIAA installed on my OEM headlamp last year and boy did It make a huge difference.. but I wanted a larger headlight. I also added a pair of HD Fog Lamps with Halogen bulbs mounted on my engine guards. Now not only will I be able to see better......but during the day, the cagers will be able to see me better as well.
