Am on leave for a couple of days, but had a luncheon at the Navy base in Bremerton. It was shaping up to be a really pretty morning so at about 0945, I rolled my bike out of the garage and headed out. I had taken my fairing and engine guard/lower fairings off (as I'm getting ready to take a bunch of stuff to the powder coaters). Also, I had removed my front fender ... was sporting a pretty stripped-down look.
I wore my half-shell and leather gloves with my jacket over my service khaki uniform and left my neoprene face mask at home (bad call as it was pretty chilly).
The ride back at 1400 was considerably more comfortable, and just beautiful ... highway 16 washed in sunshine ... awesome.
Well, I'll post some pics when I get the stuff back ... will probably be about a week, I'm thinking. So far, I plan on sending my handlebars, mirrors, fork cover tins and my wheels ... may throw a couple more things onto the list, but that's a start.
I know Tweakin has urged me to get the lower fork sliders PCed ....

I was just up there (Kirkland/Redmond) area last week. I could see some nice roads in the area, but your traffic is just annoying. Not a damn person would step on the gas pedal and get out of the way, left lane or not.
With all those coffee drinkers, I figured they'd be a little more edgy and zip on down the road. Not so! Those were some of the slowest people I'd ever seen on a road (until they snapped and crossed three lanes of traffic to cut you off). I guess they were all afraid of spilling their coffee.

Yeah, the driver can be annoying ... I think they skip the part about slower traffic keep right in drivers' ed. Or maybe they skip drivers ed all together ....Originally Posted by wbeem

Just gotta keep your head on a swivel and if you want to break out of the gridlock, get ready to do some aggressive driving.

If you're in Bremerton, do you ever go to Step's Chop Shop? The owner, Step died a few years ago and his brother Lucky took over. I haven't been there in a couple of years, but a pretty good indy shop.
Well, back out to the garage to try to get some more stuff off the bike .... I busted a Torx T-31 this morning, so have to get another one to get my rear brake disc off.
