HI all,
This is my first post on this fine forum. I picked up my 09 FXDB last Saturday and I gotta say, I love this bike. It's way more fun than my 04 FXSTB. Anyway, I'd like to PC my turn signals and I need some help in removing them. Tips? tricks?
Thanks,
Chris
(no, I'm not much of a mechanic, but am willing to learn)
they just undo man! you ahve to cut the wires (least i do) then i solder it all back up... granted i have not had those on my bike in 3 years but it is all pretty simple to get them apart
Hmmm...cutting the wires eh? Well, the fronts are straightforward, granted. Though I'm not sure how the internals disassemble. However, how the F do I get the rear ones off the rear strut/fender? I need specifics. Anyone done this?

Well, on an '08...remove tail light.
Unplug both turn sig connections from tail light housing.
Unbolt each rear sig from the inside of the fender, careful not to twist sig wiring (it'll snap)
Remove sigs and thread wiring out through struts.
That is all.
Now for an '09, it just depends on if your rear sigs still connect into the tail light housing. Take a look and see where they run to...this is the simple stuff, screwdrivers and ratchets.
