Default RE: Big Radius Install

thanks Mcurry5!

I hope I heal fast too. Bike is supposed to be fixed by next Thursday! Wrist broken into pieces, and I never wore a cast (the wonders of steel plate/medical tecnology...me, my bike and my profession have more in common now).

I hope to ride all day next Saturday. I suppose it depends on my clutch pulling abilities. Time will tell.

Best part about this forum (and thanks to but I'll try to try 2) is all of the support. From the moment I logged-in...nothing but positive.

My hope is to give that same positive support, and be helpful with what I do know. I look at this like I do Masonry, I've recieved more light than I'll probably ever be able to shed. I just hope that when the little knowledge I do posses is needed, I am up to the task of presenting it in a manner which is helpful.

Ride to live, because that's what we did when the training wheels came-off as kids...

I took delivery of an 06 Wide Glide a week or so ago.I have tried everywhere to locate a dealer with the Big Shots from Vance and Hines with no luck.I have had them on backorder since I picked the bike up.V&H says they are still working on orders from December....WTF??
They say there are over 1100 people running those pipes on a glide right now, and they are producing as fast as they can.
You mean to tell me that they had no idea that the O2 sensors would be installed in the 06 pipes untill they hit the field??Nahhhhh.Heck the 07's will be out before they get a handle on things.I also ordered the SERT with a Doherty Power Pack Air cleaner with the power vent.

I origionally was going to go with the Power Commander BUT the power commander disables the O2 sensors and in essence fools the ECM into thinking all is well.If I had to go with the Power Commander I was going to try to use the 05 glide pipes because they are redily available,HOWEVER I wasnt sure if the pipe brackett would fit the six speed tranny. The SERT will enable you to realy tune the bike useing the sensors the way it was designed rather than override the system with a preset download of perimiters.Although the SERT is somewhat more expensive,it enables you to do much more fimne tuning that is available with the PC3.I also expect the SERT to be pulled off the market soon because of the EPA and figured I would grab it while I can.......

If anyone knows somewhere to get the V&H big shots for the 06 Wide Glide, drop me a line.I have Supertrapp on my 84 FXRS and want to stick with the duals this time.

with the pc111 you can close to 95% optimum performance. the only reason you would ever need it to 100% is if you are racing the bike or doing dyno shows. And I didnt have to give the dealer a red cent. got the correct map from dynojets website.
