New 49mm fork modification
E-mailed Mark, got the code " HDFORUMS" and 20% discount and going to do my homework cause I'm going to do it myself.
I'm going to have it all apart and switch in the triple Works springs.
I'm going a make a work list from square one to achive it.
I have an 09 streetbob with 500 miles on it. Got it new. At 185 lbs I bottomed out the front twice on my first ride going 50 mph on the back roads!
I knew I was going to have to do something. Solo even!
I am an agressive rider and moved over from my 07 XL1200C that had a couple mods and stock changes.
I just installed the solo rack as I may get my wife on again.
So the suspension is number one now.
I'm on budget and have spent way too much already.
The discount helps.
Credit is wonderful thing.....

Hey Madden23 you already went down the road I'm going.
I have the Works triple rate spings comming, Intiminators just ordered
Works 12.6 single rate street trackers,
I'm 185 lbs but ride aggressive.
I plan to use Belray 15wt
I read that the Imtimnator uses about 5/8",
I'll be installing the Works triple and they have three different lenghts to try, what lenght did you use and how did you stack your springs?
Did you compensate for the thickness of the Intiminator?
went with the AMSoil 10wt shock theraphy
everything is installed and works just fine.
I cut an inch or the preload spacers first shot and keeping it there.

been runnin ricor intimidators and shocks for 2 years now, they rock out with there ***** out thats on a 2010 RoadKing, im runnin 18s front and back as well, now all i need is a fukin stearing damper lol
Any one hear done the old man conversion , or been inside late model forks ,,, i may need longer damper tubes
i have a 2016 low rider ,, big proplem i have with it is the extremly short susspenion travel , about 3.5 inches , (back breaker on Qld roads) , my 26 year old FXRS -SP low rider has 6.5 inch travell , smooth to ride . Rear is easy to fix just change shocks for longer travel ,, Front forks ??????????.
The guys with 48 s have the same proplem , they have a fix ( the OLD MAN conversion ) by puttin in old dyna (LONGER) Damper tubes ,gives an exta inch travel , there is unused space in the outer fork sliders .
1 . Are there any longer DAMPER tubes for 2016 low rider forks
2 . Does the wide glide have longer front fork travel as it has longer forks
ANY HOW cant find longer damper tubes ,, been ringing bike shops ,googlin , other forums ,,,,,
ordered some longer bolts and taps an dies HD have a new wierd thread in bolt in bottom of forks ,,14 x 1.25 mm ,,, most people will have to buy a new allen key to pull these forks apart ,,,, and started making a spacer to extend damper tubes ,,,, 65mm long , will raise bike 50 mm and give an extra 65 mm fork travel ,, total of 155 mm travel close to an FXRS- SP,, after i test ride with extra travel then will start tuning , springs ,oil weights and dampeners holes
the new spacer is the top piece in photo

WELL doing this you can gain up to 75 mm longer forks i only went 65 mm ,,,,,
