fitting fatboy front wheel info
Ok,
Some have asked for info on this:
I used a 2008 17" wheel with 25mm bearings. mounted in fatbob tripple trees so I also used a fatbob axle. rotor was spaced 0.250" and wheel spacers made to 1.200" left side & 0.820" right side. you also need longer rotor bolts (1.250").
I had a 1" axle but couldn't make this work with the fatboy wheel, Some newer wheels that are 25mm will not accept 1" bearings due to the 1" being 21mm wide and the 25mm being 15mm wide.
you can get 1" bearings that are only 15mm wide but these are hard to get in the uk.
