If you're set on slip-ons, I can definitely attest to the old pre-epa SEII slip-ons. Nice sound without being obnoxious. They'll say "for off road use only" on them. You can usually find them in the classifieds on hdforums or ebay fairly cheap.
I can tell you from experience, I got slip-ons because I lacked the cash to do a full exhaust system and since day 2 of the slip-ons I wanted more. My advice is if you're going to do it, do it right the first time.
I kinda like the sound of the Khrome Werks and I like the idea of the Rush slip-ons. Look like i need to do a little more research. Thanks guys
Try getting a 2 into 1, they give you a deep sound.
they will only be loud when you open 'em up.
Many choices :
Pro Pipe
Thunderheader
Bassani
Fat cat
Rinehart 2-1
These will outperform those slip-ons by far. Just a thought
I have the Cycle Shack slipons on my lowrider. They have a deep and loud tone to them, in fact I bought some Big City Thunder header pipe baffels just to tone them down a little. I don't know how they sound yet, the weather hasn't been warm enought yet to fire it up. Good luck with your search.
Rush 2" are the way to go, had them on my nightster and getting them for my new super glide. Rush recently came out with black pipes and that would look great on the bob, get the heat shields powdered and you have yourself a nice blacked out look, if thats what you are going for, if not still Rush is the way to go.

Yep that's what I'm getting ready to do. Going with the Black tip compatible with some chrome tips and the 2" baffles.
SuperG, I was thinking about the Big Radias 2 into 1 not he BP. What are your thoughts about it. Looks like it will be a pain to check the oil and I dont know about the passanger foot peg. Thanks

On the BP no midifications to the passenger peg and dipstick easy to
get to. Many other members have the BR 2-1, check 'em out,
It really comes down to preference, but V&H are good products.
