Generally, you don't need to do anything with just slip-ons. A full exhaust and/or high-flow a/c require remapping/retuning.

I do believe that would be correct. You can just run some slip-ons and be good to go. Once you change the air cleaner out to a stage 1 is when you get into the fuel management (fuelpak, pcIII / V,etc)

Well, a lot pipes out there. I put 2.5 V&H straighshot slip ons and
V&H Fuel Pak stage 1 intake for under $600 shipped. Installed all in about 3 hours. Pipes are beautiful chrome and sound is right on. For me it was cost and installation. Very happy.
