Anyone compared the two.I heard them only on youtube(sorry).Cant find any sound bytes on baggers.I'm going to have to go via slipons and really would like to get some opinions on these 2.Everyone here in town have either V&H or rineharts,as good as they are i want something different.I'll be using my stock headers.have se performance slipons now.thanks
Have you considered a set of Rush slip-ons ?? Their chrome is
top quality.......
You can choose different "angle cuts" for the ends, and
also have a choice of size baffles....
I installed a set of "slash-out" slip-ons with 2" baffles
on my 08 R/G.....deep low rumble until the throttle
is twisted, then its an attention getter without
being obnoxious
can anyone comment between the bassani and thunderheaders?I really want to narrow between these two.I've gone to different bike nights hoping someone has either of these to hear but unfortunately no dice.
Have Thunderheader's I've not heard anything that sounds better and they perform very well can pick my bike out in a crowd just by the sound you can't go wrong with these.
Well Rick, I ride a 08 Street Glide with just the Bassani megaphone slip-ons and they are absolutely awesome. I am really happy with them. Really deep at idle, and only loud when you crack the throttle. I am able to hear the stock speakers at 45-50 mph, after that the wind makes it harder. I have only heard a 2-1 Thunder header and it was loud. Way louder than my bike..Good luck with your decision, it was very hard for me as well.
2 into 1 Thunderheader here. Love the sound, deep rumble when I crack the throtle, but at cruse 70 to 80, I can here the radio just fine. Slip-ons might be a little differen't. You said you need to do slip-ons. If because of cost, you should look at Pythons before you buy. They sound great and you won't beat the price.
Had V&H TD head pipes on my RG with the Thunderheader slip ons. Sounded awesome, but I took them off to go to a 2 into 1 for performance. I loved the sound and would highly recommend them. If you are looking for a set I still have mine with probably 2000 miles on them if you are interested.
