Well the easiest and cheapest way would be simply put some highway pegs on it and leave your mids. Then you can put your feet out when needed. Here is a pic I dug up off of the internet.

Put on forward controls. There are multiple threads on that topic in this forum. Just use the search facility.

The mids are maybe a bit "high" because Harley lowered the Fat Bobs with shorter shocks. Gotta have a little corner clearance.

Love my mid controls.
Can move my feet forward on the Highway pegs or change up and rest on the mids, or be in much better control of the beast for twisty road riding. Plus can shift the beast with my left heel from the highway peg either shift up of down and can put on the rear brake from the highway peg as well. Nice to have 2 places for the feet to ride long distances.

I'd say keep the mids and add highway pegs. But if you want the forwards, it's a pretty easy install. Put them on my friends Dyna, followed the directions in the box, wasnt hard at all.

I've got HD forwards and they have two settings. One is low and the other high. I have my set is the low position and with the mid-controls, I've got options of where to place my feet. Works for me. I like using the mid-controls when in the sweepers or heavy traffic and then stretch out my legs at the last traffic light. The forwards set you back about $150, depending on the pegs you choose.
