I saw some post where some guys put a 7" Fatboy headlight on thier rides. I like the look but wanted to go a little smaller so I ordered a new headlight for my 08 FXDC. "Headlight assembly, teardrop, 6 1/2″, for 1980-2009 4-speed FXWG, FXDWG and SoftailŽ Part #3100110 $89.99 from J&P". Any words of wisdom on the install would be apreciated. Will post pics after done if any Interest.

I have a thread on here somewhere about mine. I think it's titled "new headlight on Fat Bob" or something like that. It might have some useful info for you.
Lorance66, thanks for thr info, https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...n-fat-bob.html. Good information on there and your bike looks awsome. Hoping for the same / similar effect on mine with the 6 1/2" light since the forks are closer together (i think). Also thinking of the tank lift, not sure though. Does the angle change cause any problem with fuel guage readings or fuel crossover from one side to the other?

I don't think fork width would matter much on the 7" light as most of the light is in front of the forks. I need to post a "looking down from the top" pic.
The tank lift did change the fuel gauge accuracy, but truthfully I never use it. I know how many miles I can go, so I just use my odometer. I would never trust the gauge even if it was accurate. No other problems with the tank lift.
