I somewhat agree with delaying mods until tuners have more time with the SERT. However, I still think the PC III is a good interim solution and gets your bike running just fine with whatever mods you want to install now.

Is it worth the $300+ to install and maybe dyno? I guess for me it was since I already have $20, 000 in the bike [sm=signs007.gif]
My bike runs great and gives me time to let things settle out awhile.

snowyhog, I an not having any problems whatsoever, bike is running perfect. It will not show that fault code because the map dose't require 02 sensor imput. I did not install the dealer cartridge but a modified map for 06 softail that is available with the sert.

davidwideglide,

The injectors used in Dyna production were changed from 8's to 25's in mid Feb, so you're bike should certainly have the 25's. Mine was delivered in March and already had them.

I have a delivery date of may 26 for a 2006 wide glide. Would you say that by now mine would be sent with the 25 style injectors??
If it was manufactured after 2/15/2006 it should the part number for the 8 degree ones is 27625-06 and the part number for the 25 degree ones is 27709-06a. Get a flashlight and look behind the horn and you can see the number on the left injector under the gas tank. If you have the 8 degree ones in there make them change them before you take delivery. the service bulletin is TSB M-1185

I would assume it is a recent version[4.5] as I have only had it for a couple of months and has maps for 06 Dynas. The map I started with is 141NP001 which is for 06 softail. I have made changes to the fuel and timing. I am only learning this fuel injection but if you apply the same procedure as with carb tuning you should get the same results. I have always avoided FI because I didn't understand or just never needed to deal with it, but now that I have a bike of my own to play with I find the sert to be a good tool to have. I would not recommend anyone who does not have the ability to diagnose or understand tuning principles to change the sert settings from the maps provided for your model.

Apparently this is resolved if your use the PCIII which ignores the o2 sensor. If you use the PCIII you can also use non-o2 bung equipped pipes.

When I ordered the Streetbob I believed the 02sen would of been a good thing being able to retune as you ride then found out that our version was not equiped. I am now happy that I don't have them as my [wifes] bob runs so sweet.

I think I am going to get it dynoed because we have 3 good shops here and one in Michigan I know can custom tune this bike because they all build custom racing bikes and keep tuning & dynoing & riding & tuning until they get it right. It will cost me $3-400 but I want the bike to run well because it runs great stock. Then I'm getting the map saved on CD for me in case I ever have to re-load it.
