ok so found a pic of my dads harley from before he passed. was wondering if someone could help me figure out the color? i would really like to paint the wide glides tins to match
That is a Fat Boy. If you know what year it is, you can probably come up with a color match. The MoCo should have details on what colors the various models came in for each year. It looks kind of like gunmetal, or could be black pearl.
You can identify the year from the VIN.
Best of luck. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out if it was a standard color from the factory.
Looks kind of like a charcoal or graphite type color to me, but def look up the year or the vin like the guys above said...good luck...and sry to hear bout ur loss
thanks everyone i will try to find some paperwork, the bike is gone now so i have to dig deep. mom sold it before i got mine. it was a nice ride. it was a charcoal grayish color, just didnt know if anyone new possibly what harley called it off the top of their head.
From the looks of it i think its a 05 Fatboy, that year they brought out that color which they called it "Black Pearl", --almost 100% sure. Sorry 'bout your loss.
Did the football air cleaner writing/script change from year to year? My WG is an 06 with that same looking trim ring on the A/C. I know the words in them are unique to our bikes, just not sure of the style of the ring.

I agree with SuperG on the color. Not sure of the year, but black pearl actually looks dark grey, like your dad's. The gunmetal color was a shade of blue. Look at other 03 anniversary bikes, you'll see what I mean.
