Default SEII - Slashdown vs. Baloney

Is there a sound OR performance difference between the slashdowns or baloney cut SEII slip ons?

I'm considering putting them on my 2006 FXDWGI with my first service and w/ SE AC and remap....

I'd rather have the lower sound than the louder....

$300.00 ticket from the pigs last year for excessive noise.

Also....are there different baffles available for SEII???

I think I read in another thread that they are tack welded in the pipe....

My SEII (baloney) baffles were removable. Two bolts at the end of the mufflers. I replaced my baffles with BCT ones.

They're the same pipe with different mounting points i.e. no performance difference. The Slash cuts get some bounceback off the pavement and kick up a bit more dust. The Baloney's are good at blasting the BMW next to you and set off the alarm pretty easily!

Big as* difference, I can't go back to the SEII stock baffles (it's too quiet). Sound close to aftermarket pipes. I went riding with about 13 HOG riders from my local chapter, and my SEIIs with BCT baffles was one of the loudest ones there.

Thats a ringing endorsement - thanks Kaduku . Did the SEIIs and while they do sound alot better than stock, they're still missing something - gonna give your BCT ones a try.
