? about PCIII install

I am going to be installing PCIII on my ride. Ive heard its a good idea to put di electric grease on to prevent the pins from going bad. My question is do I just put this stuff a the pins and then put connectors together or is there a special way people apply this stuff. Thanks

I just smeared it over the female connector, pushing some into the holes - then plugged 'em together.

Yep, that's it. Don't need to go crazy just cover the pins and plug it in.
Did my PCIII last year and all is well so far
