Default windvest vs harley

Have a friend will sell me a Harley quick detach windshield for about the same price as a windvest. 06 Bob with 12.5 chubbys. I want one for long trips, which one works better?

I don't know which is better, but I would think the detachable is since half of the wind comes up from under the bike, or through the trees.
Plus
1. Its detatchable
2. it looks better when on.

My bike came with a HD detachable screen, and it made my helmet buffet so bad I couldn't stand to ride with it on. I tried cutting about 4 inches off the top, and adding Rifle lowers, and all that helped, but I finally gave up and got a Windvest. It's truly the last screen I'll ever buy. I love it. I got a great deal on it on Ebay, if you keep checking they pop up from time to time.

I have had both shields. Windvest on a 05 Sportster, detachable Harley on a 08 Street Bob. Wndvest is thicker but at normal speeds I could not notice a difference. I had little buffeting on either model. The Windvest although not officially quick detachable comes off with two fasterners very quickly. Personally the Harley looks better to me.

I've had both and prefer the windvest hands down.
