Baggers...I don't get it.....
I guess I missed the clothing part of this post.....must have been edited out.
Baggers are versatile and comfortable. That's why they're popular. I occasional ride my Gramps Road King and it's a nice ride. The wife especially appreciates the extra room and comfort.
They're called "touring" bikes....Designed for longer distances and more comforts. Some people appreciate that more than others.
Doesn't match our ridng preference. I want to be in silence, feel the bumps in the road, and the cool air on my body. Don't want a stereo, GPS, cup holder, etc etc. But that's just me. I'm in it for the romance of the bike and the road, which is lost in baggers, IMO. Hence our round trip from Colorado to San Diego on my old 2005 883xlc.

We'll be doing at least 3 multi day long distance trips this summer with a windshield and a T-bag, which is the way I like it.
Like many have said, ride what you love, don't obsess on why people don't match your likes. I ride with a few Harleys, two BMWs and a Hyabusa (sp?). Hell, I even wave at scooters if they bother to wave. One of my best friends is a Kawasaki owner. To each their own.
1. I could give a flying **** what the other guy rides. If it ain't a Harley I ain't waving back and if it's a crotch rocket..I sure ain't waving back. Why? Because I don't wanna that's why!
2. I don't wear a HOG patch.... Why? Because I don't wanna. Wear what you want you don't need anyone's permission to wear it..this is America do what you want!
3. I have a dyna. I bought it when everyone was buying Fatboys. I wanted to be diffferent. I drove it across the country 3 times. I have a bagger too now I make no apologies for it. I wanted my wife to be comfortable and stop bitchin' in my ear mostly, but I'd be a lying if I told you it wasn't a damn comfortable ride...and I ride them both. Used to be softtails were the bigdogs now it's the baggers...who cares. Buy what you want... ride what you want. Hold your head up and thank the good Lord you have the health and strength to ride. I'll ride till they put my sorry a** in the ground...why? because I wanna that's why.
Don't worry about who's a biker, who's not and all that crap and just go out and do your thing. Like the late Warren Zevon said "Enjoy every sandwich".
