I was able to test ride in Santa Cruz I rode the bike that I bought. The salesman that went with rode a Fatboy and half way into the ride offered to switch bikes, The Fatty was out of my price range and I have ridden a buddies softail so I new what that was like. I always liked the FX style so thats what I got. Santa Cruz Harley was a great place to buy a bike to bad they shutdown.

I don't remember ever test driving a bike before I bought it.

Now, what was I thinking about before I responded to this thread? Damn, I forgot!

No test ride for me either...I asked, but was told no test rides allowed on their new bikes, although it did have 12 mi. on the odometer. I handed over the keys and the title for my '04 Kawi Z1000, signed the paperwork and I couldn't be happier.

I took my Bob out for about a 20 mile test ride before signing the paperwork.

Nope, had a Road King before and knew my next bike would be another Harley. I didn't want a bagger and had no intentions to own a sloptail so I had no other option. Saying it that way makes it sound like I settled. Truth is when I bought my Road King I settled. I wanted a Dyna then but was nudged to the bagger by my wife and here geezer glide co-workers. Man I love my sled.

I rode all the Dynas and a few Softails. I really wanted a StreetBob. Glad I rode one, cause I hated it right away. Fell in love with the FatBob, and after a few test rides, I finally found one available in my color choice. Love the FatBob. Glad I didn't buy a SB.

I didn't ride the actual bike but the same model. It took me time just to find it no one had the color. It dosn't matter though the bike I have never ran stock out the door anyway.
