RSA, I think your having the same problem as me. After removing the tail light and circiut board, I cant get the rear brake light to work. I get a constant 12v on the O/W wire. Do I have to put the circuit board back in?
Anyone else have this problem? Cant figure this one out.

Sounds exactly the same as my issue. Electrically it makes no sense.
Do you still have your little board, can you trace the circuitry on it?
I have tried almost every combination to no avail. If I disconnect and read with the meter with no light it all checks out as it should.
