TH install
.
Mud, thanks for that idea. I just took the oem front heat shield and there is a good section of it that will match up with the front headpipe of the TH almost perfectly and it'll have two straps available. A little hacksaw and some creativity and I got myself a heatshield. Suh-weet.

Good deal. Post pix when you get it done.
Thunderheader looks sick on your scoot SC! Although I've never heard of anyone sayin the thunderheader sounds tinny? As it's one of the deepest production pipes ya can buy, maybe your just not used to it yet...some more miles I'll bet you'll never say that again! Glad your happy with the performance! I gotta admitt though, I've never ran one with a stock motor, lol! Congrats

Thanks for the compliments though. I had a small fear of them not looking good on the bike. Sometimes I'd see them on a WG (on here) and say "looks good". Sometimes it just looked out of place.
I didn't take a bnch of pics during the install but I did take a few key ones.
To gain clearance for the thunderheader bracket to fit, I had to drop the rear brake connecting rod down.

The TH install sheet stated to remove the clutch cover to gain access to one screw. I used a ball-end allen wrench and was able to loosen the screw enough to slide the TH mount bracket in place.

Next is a pic of the bracket 'hooked' onto the last screw and ready to be set with oem screws underneath the clutch cover. No fluid loss took place, loosening those screws.

I don't have any more of the install. Wish I had another set of hands because I would have documented much better for future reference.

Ok...I rode a little bit last night and as a few have stated, the sound is definitely growing on me. It is starting to sound more like a hot rod, at least that's what my ears are telling me.
