Just got the Lepera bare bones solo and I am assuming I would need a fender bib to cover or fill the stock 2-up seat mounting hole. Without using a fender bib, what are some other ways(short of filling and painting)of giving it a clean look? I've heard that the HD fender bibs won't reach all the way from the seat to the 2-up mounting bolt.
Did you mount the seat yet? I'm doing this same mod in just 1 hour to the same brand new Fat Bob LoL .
Here is my plan I bought the H D small black button your bike came with one it's the one most forward to the front .You can see the bar & sheild logo on it. Go get another one. You have to remove the female receiver in the last hole where the 2 up seat screwed into up to the hole that the Lepera will now bolt into.
When ya take that out you will see that theirs a notch in the hole that will hold the cap into place.
This will show 2 button caps on the fender but to me no problem I dont like fender covers just my style. I even gona take the one off the tank.
I left my 2up femal receiver in and purchased a plastic screw in cap (chrome in color) from the dealer. It was 3 or 4 dollars. Just gives me the flexibility to change seats if needed (easy). I'm sure you could paint it black if you like.
"I bought the H D small black button your bike came with one" or you can find a cool looking bolt or skull or spike. Actually HD also has a chrome button that screws right into the hole also.
If the fender shirts are too short they are pretty easy to have made. I have made em before.
