fuel gauge not working
hello all, i had my fuel tank sprayed i removed the gauge and sent the tank to be sprayed. when i got it back i filled the tank with fuel and guess what the gauge meter did not move still reads empty it worked fine before the spray job the light in the gauge still works well at least thats something so its getting power. is there something else i could check or do you think its shot. thanks
Nobodys' works. Set the trip od and stop when yopu need it. Or on a trip just get gas everytime you need to us the facilities. Works for me. BTW, FI might be great but I still like having "reserve"

My gauge quit and when I took it out and on the sending unit I found that one of the fingers on the resister had broken the tip off. I bent the arm back down to make contact and it went to working again except it's not very accurate now, it reads empty at about 110mi. instead of 140---jack

On my 06 Super Glide I accidently disconnected mine when I moved the tank back to get at the wires in the neck. There is a connector that runs along the backbone on the left side under the tank. I can't remember if the light still worked on my bike when I did that.
