I am putting a tach on my 2005 Dyna. Is there a tach output plug on this bike and if so where is it and or what color is it. I was told that if the bike has this I do not need the tach adapter

I added the HD tach to my 07 Dyna, direct plug and play. However, the "plug" on my bike was tucked into a hole in the frame under the gas tank. We had the tank off for paint anyway, so wasn't too big a deal for us.

I had to run a wire under the seat to the #3 pin on the ECM for the tach lead on my '05.

I put the tach addition kit on my 05(#67224-04) that kit plugs right in the dealer told me if I use an other tach it could scerw up the ECM.I think he lied to me cuz now I have a Dakota Digital unit.
