I let my bike sit until the idle returns to normal. Normally when I first start my bike it has a high idle, so I just let it sit till it settles, then I go. And thats usually about 15-30 seconds.

I never do it myself but I was taught to wait till the rear rocker cover is warm to the touch.

If the temperature is below 40, I have a small electric heater that I put under the crank case for about 1/2 hour before I even start it. In the summer I just start it, put on my gloves and classes and GO.

Start it and ride it. Just don't crank on it for the first mile.

Same here...let it idle about 30 seconds and then take it easy for the first couple of miles to get the oil warmed up a bit.

I warm it up 15-30 secs like the manual says because that's to make sure the oil is flowing where it needs to be! Which is perfect because I start it put my helmet on, then gloves and then ride. Growing up with my dads FXR he taught me to pull choke, fire and ride.

X2.... while putting on the helmet, gloves... etc. This is in warm weather. In cold weather (below 45) I'm letting her take about 2 minutes or so.
