Just sharing an opinion based on my experience. I purchased a HD outdoor cover for my 06 FXDI. After several uses, I noticed it was scratching the hell out of my clear coat. I am extremely particular about the finish, so I immediately gave my new $90.00 cover away.
I will never consider using this type cover again. Should my wife decide I am no longer any use to her and I find myself homeless, I will look into purchasing something such as a Bike Barn.

I have the Bike Barn and love it. But I had to get the Cycle Shelter because they made one big enough for two bikes. But I would never buy another Cycle Shelter again. The way it is made it will never last. The support rods sit in a pocket at the base of the tent. Not even one season and they have worn holes in the base of the tent. So now if the wind blows the tent will vibrate enough for the supports to fall apart!!!
I bought the one out of the Harley catalogue at my dealer. Indoor/outdoor, very well made, fits like a glove. Cost me a hundred bucks, but you can leave it outside in a rainstorm, the cover will stay on and the bike will stay dry.
