Default Baffles.... WOW what a difference.

I just put in some Quiet Baffles in my ShortShots and just took my bike for a test run. HOLY CRAP WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I never really believed that adding some back pressure would increase the lower end torque as much as it did. My bike takes off so much better and even though they are not as loud. They sound better to me because the sound is much deeper. Man that was an awesome performance boost for only 70 bucks!!!

I put them in my Straight Shots and love them too! I think the bike sounds better.

I'm curious to see some before and after dyno numbers. I've been contemplating the quiet baffles because my short shots are obnoxiously loud and lack the low end grunt that I want. Seems cheaper than swapping to a 2 into 1, however I don't think you would gain THAT MUCH tq compared to a thunderheader. You can't get a thunderheader for $70 either though.

Installed them also, now after a few miles of riding they will get a bit louder.

Quick question - where did you get the baffles from?

I don't have the charts to post, but I saw the following:

Standard/loud baffles: 105 Lb Ft and 110 HP

Quiet baffles with a 3/8" hole drilled in the ends (for the sniffers, but they made the sound and performance perfect): 109 Lb Ft and 107 HP
