The sound with the quiet baffles is so much better than the stock baffles...and I think it would definitely sound better than no baffles at all.

You guys who think no baffles sound good...everyone thinks your bike sounds like ****!

For a thin layer of fiberglass, go to the auto parts store and buy the small bag of fiberglass cloth in the paint and body section.

You don't need to wrap the whole baffle, just the part with the holes...use mechanics wire to hold it on.

Just a word to the wise: get the correct QB p/n for your setup from the V&H site, then go searching for the good deal.

I got mine off fleabay last year for just over 50 bucks for the pair.

I noticed the power difference too. I have an 06 WG with the older Sreamin Eagle II's and then added Big City Thunder baffles. They are more free flowing and sounded great, but I thought they cut down on torque and give more high end horsepower. After a few months and being pulled over for load pipes I put the original SEII baffles back in and thought wow better take off power, more torque, but less top end power.

Oh, I'm sorry, let me run back to the shop and put my baffles back in. I wouldn't want anyone else to not like something I did to MY BIKE. Anything else I should change while I'm at it? Maybe there's too much chrome for "everyone else's" taste? I was under the impression that the whole idea behind owning a Harley was individuality. My mistake.

Chrome? Oh man, get with the times. Chrome is so last year. Black is the new shiny.

"Quiet baffles" isn't really a good name for them, they didn't really quiet it at all, just gave it alot lower tone.
