bike vibrating more after short shots install.....
just as the title says i had the short shots installed and now my bike vibrates alot more. i mean i know its a harley.... but just not sure its supposed to vibrate this much.
Did you remap the ECU to account for the more free flowing exhaust?
Also do you have a tachometer to check the idle rpms? The bike has less resistance and without a remap the computer is trying to compensate for the non resistance. It should have a good vibration at idle and then smooth out as your RPM's increase.
yes i had the harley race tuner retuned when i put these pipes on. not sure really what the issue is. i thought maybe it was because of how much lighter these pipes are that the bike is just vibrating easier with these pipes. also thinking how loud the motor seems now (that sewing machine sound). just wondering what thoughts on this are. also my fuel mileage is about 180+ for a tank. i fill up when the light comes on. isnt running any warmer either thats what i dont understand. just wanting to make sure im not hurting it running it. or that i dont have something wrong. thanks.
Check and see if the exhaust is touching anything, anything at all,
could cause a lot of felt vibration. Also make sure all clamps and
exhaust brackets are tight, and motor mounts.
