Default Speeds winter mods?

Well, I've been wanting to do a big bore on my low for quite awhile now. Started researching last fall. Finally made a decision in January. I talked to ALOT of builders over the course of this. Some good, some so so. I finally decided to go with Dave of JD's Cycle Works. I felt more comfortable talking to him, than anyone else. He really listened to what I was wanting, and offered several different options. He was also VERY patient with me as I ask LOTS of questions! Well, I finally got around to getting the work done this last week. Anyway, here's the short of it.

Axtell 107" kit
10.5-1 CR
Tman 590 cams
Heads by Baisley
Barnett full clutch pack and top hat

Of course the Ness BSII, Fatcat, and Tmax remained.

I've only got about 125 miles on it, but MAN this thing pulls hard! Once I get 1k on it, I'll drop by the dyno for a run.

Next on the agenda will be to install the True-trak and the Ricor AIS valves when they come in next week!

Congrats to you and I am sure you are just ready to see the numbers it produces. If you dont mind, what did you pay for the completed project and how long did it take?

Yeah, I don't think these are the inches the OL was hoping for tho!

All in all, it cost me about 3.5K. I did all the work myself, and Dave offers a discount on some stuff for HDF members.

Time wise, I tinkered with it on and off for a week, due to parts and personal issues. But, it took 4 hours for tear down. 1/2-1 hour for the clutch pack. 3 hours for the cams. Then about 10 hours to reassemble and touch it off! It would definitely be quicker if I had to do it again. Certain things fought a little, but not too bad.

Yeah, defenitely interested to see what the final numbers are. I did a base line and showed 75hp/85tq. I thought that was a little low, but I'm not sure what dyno it is. It may just be a stingy dyno. At least that's my version!
